Just this month, JAX is officially registered with Johnson Distributors in Texas!  Within one week of our arrival into the glamorous southern state, our Y3 Chardonnay is on the wine list of Steel Restaurant (by the glass), Ibiza (featured in Wine Spectator this month), Lola, Dali and Kirby's Steakhouse in Woodlands. Starz network is launching a hit new series based on the Oscar winning movie CRASH!  The hit series will be launching later this year and will star such stars as Dennis Hopper.  Look for a bottle of JAX or Y3 when you check out the show! On June 13th, JAX will be teaming up with contemporary art gallery 212 Gallery to host a wine and art exhibition party showcasing our four varietals as well as 212 Galleries' top contemporary artists: Chris Cox and Karl Holinger.  If you are attending Aspen Food and Wine that weekend, please contact us and let us know that you would like to attend our private tasting and art party in downtown Aspen.  We are welcoming all JAX Vineyards fans! On Monday, April 7th, the extremely chic retailer, Double Helix, in the Palazzo Shops of the Venetian Hotel hosted an extremely successful wine tasting featuring JAX Vineyards.  Attracting a notable cross-section of locals, visitors, and trade, the winetasting was educational and super fun.  For those of you who find yourselves searching high premium artisan brands on the strip, head directly to this brilliantly merchandised retailer headed by charismatic and informative Raymond Nisi. On March 27th, the historical Hassayanpa Inn hosted a formal sit down dinner paired with JAX Vineyards portfolio of wines for 85 people.   Chef Pedro Sevilla hailed from 5-star dining establishments across Europe and the Southwest, prepared an exquisite dish that paired beautifully with each of our varietals.   The charming Arizona mountain town of Prescott lured all the "hitters" including the Prescott Mayor, Jack Wilson.   We felt extremely flattered to be a highlight of such a well executed and momentous event! On February 23, JAX participated in Napa Valley Vintners’ PREMIERE barrel auction for the first time.  Ultimate Distributors of Atlanta George bid  $10,000 for our 5-case 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon lot!  This was an incredible performance!!!  Thank you for your great work Kirk Venge. JAX's number one supporter in Las Vegas (Joseph Phillips) of the Bellagio Hotel, was awarded the exceptionally distinguished MASTER SOMELLIER diploma this month.  Among all applicants across the country, only nine inidividuals were awarded this exceptional diploma.   If you plan to visit Las Vegas soon, drop by Sensi Restaurant in the Bellagio to give him a hand. Just last week, head sommelier Greg Castells gave us the exciting nod that indeed our JAX Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 vintage would land on the very top wine list in the United States.  The wines will be offered at French Laundry starting on February 1, 2008.  For those of you who plan to dine at French Laundry and order a bottle of JAX there, will receive a free bottle shipped directly to you for free.  (just send us your receipt) It is precisely your support and word of mouth that makes us who we are.  Thank you for all of your support!
