Your food should
be so lucky.

09 Y3 Taureau

Five varietals. Endless superlatives. Meet our new Y3 Taureau, an indulgent blend sourced from some of Napa’s most premium vineyards. Starting with our estate grown JAX Cabernet (foundation is everything), the Taureau offers feminine layers of Syrah and Merlot, polished with Petite Sirah and Cabernet Franc. Full bodied. Feisty. Just like the legendary bull after whom it was named. And not only does Taureau pair well with most dishes, but it offers a “special occasion taste” at an “everyday wine price.” For a gorgeous blend with a soft entry and deep complexity, grab a bull by the bottle.

Tasting Notes

The Taureau is a rich and explosive blend that brings an unheard-of level of finesse to an everyday drinking wine begging to be paired with food. Jammy and indulgent, this wine offers deep red fruits, plums, baking spices and cocoa. Arrange a tasting

So rich and bright, it gives other chards an inferiority complex.

10 Y3 Chardonnay

In our humble wine-obsessed opinion, many Napa Valley Chardonnays tend to be over-styled with excessive butter and oak. But as the Jackson siblings know (through lots of “testing”), an outstanding Chardonnay owes its success to outstanding fruit, not a heavy style. That’s why we source our grapes from the best vineyard sources in and around Carneros. One sip and we think you’ll agree, our Y3 Chardonnay is delicious with food or all by itself. James Laube with The Wine Spectator called it a “Top 10 Chardonnay to watch,” so it looks some people agree.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of rich, bright fruit dominate the nose with layers of ripe green apple, pineapple, peaches and brown sugar. The palate reveals a soft and elegant structure with beautiful lines and precise finesse. Arrange a tasting

And you thought
you missed summer before seeing this.

09 Y3 Sauvignon Blanc

Summers get hot in Calistoga. Which is fortunate, because it was on such a feverish Calistoga day that Kimberly and Trent found inspiration for their Y3 SB. Their aim was simple. Make it extremely clean and refreshing, but infuse a stony minerality. Fermented in 100% stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation, this wine stands true to its varietal integrity. Crisp. Vibrant. And made “sur lie” which gives it a brilliant texture and depth. Some other irresistibly influential adjectives include: delicate white floral, honeysuckle, and nuance of white peach. It’s a personality bomb.

Tasting Notes

Vibrant and pointed with a complex concentration of white peach, nectarine, and yellow apple. On the palate, one will note a ripe, fresh citrus, medium-bodied mouthfeel with a touch of minerality. This crisp and bright style is supported by luscious floral nuances resulting in a harmonious and elegant finish. Arrange a tasting

Inky, indulgent,
and best enjoyed in like-company.

05 Y3 Syrah

Sleepy Syrahs from the Napa Valley consider this a wakeup call. Sourced from ultra-premium hillside vineyards in the Chiles Valley (Eastern Napa), our Y3 Syrah screams from nose to finish. Inky, voluptuous and incredibly opulent, this red was not crafted for the weak. In fact, even the tasting notes can bring a palette to its knees. Velvety. Layered by elements of dark cherry and cassis fruit. A hint of warm tobacco. All wrapped-up with a gorgeous acidity and oh-so precise finesse. As our photographer put it, “it makes you want to lick those drops right off the bottle.”

Tasting Notes

The stressed, hillside vines in Chiles Valley (slight east of St. Helena), yield ultra rich, concentrated fruit. Silky and refined, accented by vanilla oak, this Syrah lingers beautifully on the tongue. Arrange a tasting

Distinctively Calistoga.

07 Jax Cabernet Sauvignon

It all began with a green thumb, a 28 year old dry-farmed vineyard and a dream. In 1996, David Jackson discovered an estate rich with highly underachieving, incredibly promising cabernet sauvignon vines in northern Calistoga. But it would take more than a gardeners touch. Enter David’s wine-loving children, Kimberly and Trent. Armed with entrepreneurial spirit, fierce passion and laser beam focus, the siblings vowed to make this vineyard sing. The first order of business? Grab the most amazing winemaker in California.

As luck (and persistence) would have it, rock star Kirk Venge soon joined the family fray. Renowned for making exceptionally balanced and restrained Bordeaux-style wines, Kirk was the perfect match. Today, JAX is one of the best value estate grown boutique Cabernet Sauvignons available. The reviews? Rave. The price point? Remarkable. The taste? Well, we’ll just have to leave this last part up to you.

Tasting Notes

Tight, sleek, and focused with an elegant blend of currant, black cherry, loamy earth and nutmeg. Impressive for its depth and definition, this vintage seamlessly unfolds together into a long, lingering finish. Arrange a tasting
