JAX Vineyards produce this distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon by dry-farming the estate's thirty-seven year old vines. At the foot of Mt. St. Helena, in Napa Valley, the vineyards bask in the ideal conditions of the northern Calistoga sun. Working together, the Jacksons (Jane, Dave, Kimberly and Trent) select the optimal grapes from their vineyard to produce their tenth vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy!
Deep ruby red hues complimenting the ripe red cherry nose. This wine reveals strong tannins backed by layers of dark cherry and cassis fruit (signature fruit flavors of the JAX Vineyards site year over year). These fruit layers follow through with cinnamon and clove accents. The 2005 is a medium-long aging wine, so drink now through 2015.
